community observation

many wellness studios have done a beautiful job expanding beyond the traditional class experience.

they’ve created markets, workshops, collaborations, and gatherings that bring people together beyond the practice itself.

but sometimes, as the calendar fills up, community experiences can start to feel more like a checklist than a connection point and slowly, the question shifts from “how can we bring people together?” to “what event are we hosting next?”

question

what might be possible if we spent more time making the moments we already create feel more meaningful?

opportunity

i’d explore ways to reconnect each activation back to the community it is meant to serve.

maybe it’s asking members what they want to experience next, creating more opportunities for attendees to connect with each other instead of only the activity, or building intentional touchpoints between events.

the goal isn’t to host fewer events or change what already works, it’s to make sure each gathering still feels like it has a reason to exist.

the strongest community spaces aren’t remembered because they had the busiest calendar, they’re remembered because people felt like they belonged there.
